On the cover: The South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) is a unique building in Adelaide's new health research district in the city. A beautiful helical staircase leads researchers and scientists up and down the levels of open office spaces. ON THE COVER: Francis Cauffman Architects was the lead designer on the 66,000-sf Virtua Samson Cancer Center in Moorestown, N.J., which was converted from a closed Acme supermarket. The high ceilings allow for lots of natural light to come into the cancer center, and plenty of room for the installation of mechanicals to get the building up to healthcare standards.
