Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, Ga., offers exceptional family-centered care in their facility. To improve the well-being of their patients seeking maternity care, they called on DCO Commercial Floors to assist with the renovation of the Labor and Delivery rooms. The project occurred while the hospital was in use, so extreme attention to detail and proper planning had to be used to execute this makeover. DCO Commercial Floors used American Olean tile in Black Wenge (Infusion series) and Cordial Grey (Rapport series), with Mapei Ultraflex 1 and Epoxy grout to set the materials.

Incorporating 24 different types of carpet, this project was no ordinary retrofit. In fact, the interior architect’s design was so complex that one journeyman was devoted to navigating the pattern, while the other journeyman completed the installation. Installed with precision and care by the team at Sonus Interiors, an INSTALL Warranty contractor with a history of working with large and complex commercial projects, the flooring provides zoned workspaces that are welcoming to both clients and employees.
