ON THE COVER:
For the recent renovation of a master bath in a townhouse on the Eastside of Manhattan, a unique custom-fabricated floating structure creates a focal point in the space. The built-in vanity top and backsplash of the floating sinks feature White Thassos marble, which was also employed in 12- x 24-inch format in the tub and shower area. ON THE COVER:
Case Study House #26 in San Rafael, CA, is a one-of-a-kind home built in 1963 in the San Francisco Bay area. Designed by architect Beverley David Thorne, it was an experimental project to build a steel-framed house on a steeply sloping site. The current owner and architect, Cord Struckmann, recently remodeled the interior of the residence, selecting 24- x 48-inch porcelain tile from the Concrete line by Gigacer for the floor- ing throughout the living space. ON THE COVER:
Featuring elevated dining options, spa-quality showers, private sleeping pods and laundry service, the United Polaris lounge at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL, features Calacatta marble, Turkish limestone and quartzite. The 12,000-square-foot lounge featured stone pieces from 29 linear feet to 4- x 24-inch sizes. Story begins on page 26.

ON THE COVER:
Recently, a 900-square-foot area in what formerly had been a retail space within a historic building in Oakland, CA, was transformed to be the second location for Modern Coffee. A distinct feature of the coffee shop's design is the flooring, comprising black-and-white patterned 8- x 8-inch tiles from Granada Tile's Echo collection in the deco, Cluny. Further adding interest to the space is the accent wall behind the counter, featuring white glossy subway tiles from Dal-Tile, with the word "coffee" inscribed on top in bright red lettering. ON THE COVER:
Homeowner and design consultant Karen Press wanted to update her kitchen to a material that would be durable for her family and clients. The 650-square-foot kitchen features seven slabs of Estatuario from Neolith's Classtone collection. The material was also book-matched under her oven hood to become the focal point of the kitchen. Dekton by Cosentino contributed to the chic design of the trendy restaurant, 51fifteen Cuisine and Cocktails located in Houston, TX, inside a Saks Fifth Avenue. According to designer Nina Magon, Saks Fifth Avenue is an iconic store and they wanted to exemplify its iconic style in the design of the new restaurant. A lush living environment was created for a private residence in Arizona with an extensive palette of natural stone. Corton Beige limestone, which was quarried in Egypt, is featured as 2- x 2-foot floor tiles throughout interior and exterior spaces. The design objective for a residential remodel in Boca Raton, FL, was to create two contemporary bathrooms in tones of neutral gray and white. In the guest bath, porcelain wall and floor tile from Casalgrande Padana's Metalwood series was employed — complemented by accents of glass mosaic tiles from Glazzio Tiles and a Silestone quartz vanity top. Hill Country limestone played a significant role in creating the aesthetic of a Tuscan farmhouse for a private residence in Boerne, TX. According to the homeowner, the native limestone, which was cut into random sizes, was chosen for its locale and because it best matched the stone from the Val D'Orcia region of Tuscany. In the kitchen of a private residence in Philadelphia, PA, a 12-foot- long countertop fabricated from Crossville's Laminam I Naturali collection in Calacatta d'Oro with a polished finish is center stage. The countertop has a 3-foot-long waterfall edge, which extends all the way to the floor, creating a dramatic effect. The homeowners of a private residence in Newport Beach, CA, desired an Old World Italian style for their new home. An extensive selection of stone — supplied by Walker Zanger of Sun Valley, CA — was chosen to create a luxurious Tuscan atmosphere throughout the home's interior and exterior design. A set of antique Moroccan doors with subtle turquoise undertones set the tone for the Moroccan-inspired theme of the master bathroom in this Texan residence. Handmade, glazed turquoise ceramic tiles from Mexico in a 4- x 4-inch format were paired with dark gray large-format porcelain floor tiles.
