ON THE COVER:
For the third floor terrace at the AKA Beverly Hills Hotel, a tranquil and elegant atmosphere was achieved with natural stone. A focal point of the outdoor space is a fountain built of Bluestone — supplied by Sepulveda Building Materials. The stone is characterized by shades of blues and browns, and the size of each piece ranges from 2 to 5 inches. Story begins on page 32.

ON THE COVER:
A private residence in Hancock Park, a historic and affluent neighborhood in Los Angeles, CA, incorporates Asian-influenced decor and an Italian vibe that encompasses the Southern California lifestyle with a palette of Italian tile. In the master bathroom, 10- x 60-inch and 30- x 60-inch tiles from the Design Industry collection in "Raw Light" were used on the walls, 30- x 60-inch tiles from the Design Industry collection in "Raw Light" were used on the floors and 10- x 60-inch tiles from the Larix collection in "Natural" were used on the shower wall and floor. The Stoneway Collection from Naxos offers the aesthetic of natural stone with the durability of porcelain. The large-format tile can be used for both floor and wall applications. Stoneway is just one of the many tile and stone product lines that were on display at Coverings 2014, which took place this past spring in Las Vegas, NV. Anna Marie Fanelli of Floor & Decor in Tenafly, NJ, recently completed work on three bathrooms for a home in northern New Jersey, which is featured in the DIY Network series "Rev. Run's Renovation." In the bathroom of oldest son, Diggy, 12- x 24-inch Serenissisma Silver Travertini polished porcelain floor tile is paired with Design Positive 8- x 20-inch Blanc Blanc Brilliant porcelain wall tile. An accent is added with 1/2- x 12-inch Mugwort gray stone pencil trim pieces, which encase Starry Night stone and glass mosaics. The vanity top is made of white Carr- ara marble. A fresh look was created for the remodel of a guest bath in a home in Pinecrest, FL with a feature wall clad in aqua-colored glass mosaic tiles, which resemble the shades of the ocean. A crisp elegant look is achieved in this kitchen design with Calacatta marble countertops accompanied by a backsplash made of the same material in a subway tile format. To balance the polished marble countertops, porcelain floor tiles with a weathered wood look bring a hint of rustic charm to the space.
