Our latest annual report on costs and resale values nationwide–and the resulting "bang for the buck"– involving 20 major remodeling projects is our most detailed ever. Our findings: Costs went up for all 20 projects while values rose for only about two-thirds of the jobs. Check out which projects scored the highest returns and which markets had the greatest number of projects whose value exceeded their cost.
